Modeling Resources
The purpose of this series is to introduce modeling several types of resources in Aurora. These include, commitment, must run, peaking, renewable, energy storage, conservation and demand response resources.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Designate a resource as commitment or must run and you should be able to explain the difference
- Explain how wind and solar resources are modeled in Aurora
- Explain the difference between standard and enhanced storage logic, as well as most of the columns in the Storage table
- Generally describe the various types of load modifying programs that Aurora can model and which fuel types must be associated with resources modeling each program type
