About this course

• Transmission: Nodal transmission was updated with the latest PSS®E *.RAW files published by WECC.
• Generation Mapping: Generation mapping was expanded upon from the 2018 release of the WECC Nodal database. Using the December 2019 EIA-860m published by US Energy Information Administration (EIA) and WECC ADS (Anchor Dataset) generation list, we were able to map approximately 98% of the zonal generation to their corresponding .alfc buses.
• Interfaces: Interfaces were updated based on the 2020 WECC Path Rating catalog.
• Contingencies: Contingencies and monitored elements were added to the Aurora 2021 WECC Nodal database based on 2020 WECC Path Rating Catalog.
• Wheeling Charges: Wheeling charges into California have been added via the Supplemental Area table.
• Zonal Transmission: Area to Area link limits have been reviewed and updated based on a review of the latest available data.
• Hubs: Hubs have been updated based on the most recent bus data and includes the addition of several new hubs to reflect EIM regions.
• Zonal Data: Much of the zonal data has been updated since the last October 2020 release of the database. See the release notes for further detail.
